About the Authors
Imran and Lindsey have been friends for a long time, even before photos were taken on phones.
Two of their shared passions include their kiddos and civic engagement. So naturally, they had to write a children’s book about local government!

Imran was inspired by his two sons and their love for reading together to co-author a children's book with his dear friend, Lindsey. Outside of spending time with his family, Imran works as a college professor for Washington State University and volunteers at his local city hall. While Imran’s authored college textbooks on public speaking, this is his first children’s book.

Lindsey’s been an avid reader her entire life and now gets to share those stories with her own child. While she has read many, many, many children’s books, this is her debut as an author. Lindsey is passionate about civic engagement and has served on a variety of local government committees. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and son.

Yulia (also known as Juliet Frost) was inspired by her two daughters and husband to develop her artistic talents. Her mission as an illustrator is to bring joy and instill a world of possibility. She hopes to spread love and kindness through young readers in Ukraine, where she is from, and the rest of the world. You can find her on Instagram @juliet_frost
